What is Encr ransomware? And how does it execute its attack?
Encr ransomware is a new file-encrypting virus designed to lock important data in a computer which leaves them inaccessible to users. It renames data to encrypted hex with dashes and uses .encr extension to mark its encrypted data. Following data encryption, it adds the .encr suffix to every affected file and releases a file named “readmy.txt” which contains the following message:
“Attention! All your files are encrypted!
To recover your files and access them,
send a message with your id to email
[email protected]
Please note when installing or running an antivirus will be deleted
important files to decrypt your files and data will be lost forever!!!!
You have 5 attempts to enter the code. If you exceed this
number, all the data will be irreversibly corrupted. Be
careful when entering the code!

How does Encr ransomware spread over the web?

Step_11: Delete the registry keys and sub-keys created by Encr ransomware.
Step_12: Close the Registry Editor and empty the Recycle Bin.
Try to recover your encrypted files using the Shadow Volume copies
Restoring your encrypted files using Windows Previous Versions feature will only be effective if Encr ransomware hasn’t deleted the shadow copies of your files. But still, this is one of the best and free methods there is, so it’s definitely worth a shot.
