The Surface Pro is Microsoft’s most successful mobile device.
Unlike the total failure of the Surface RT, the Surface Pro has managed to capture some dedicated customers. It’s a Windows computer in compact tablet form and it’s everything a tablet should be.
Today, Microsoft announced the Surface Pro 3, which has a larger screen than its predecessors while looking sleeker and sexier than ever before.
Here are the most important things to know about the Surface Pro 3 so far:
-2160×1440 resolution
-12 inch screen
-“Thinnest Core processor Intel has ever created”, the new Haswell Core i7
-9.1mm thin (the Surface Pro 2 was 13mm)
-800 grams light (the Surface Pro 2 was 900 grams)
-Articulating kickstand that can adjust your tablet’s angle anywhere from 0 to 90 degrees (the previous kickstand could only lie at a specific angle or perfectly flat)
-A “reinvented” type cover with an extra magnetic latch that will clip into the bottom lip of the tablet and increase its stability when laid across the lap
-Improved scrolling capabilities due to a new and improved track pad that reduces friction by 70% while being thinner than its predecessors
-The Surface Pro 3 is now on sale and starts at $799 for the Core i3 processor model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB SSD storage
-You can spend more for a Core i5 and Core i7 model

I’ve never owned a Surface but I was impressed by a friend’s Surface Pro 2. $799 seems like a fair price to pay for an Ultrabook compactly packed into a slim tablet. How do you like your Surface?
