Many of us are familiar with the Blue Screen of Death and had probably experienced some of these BSoD errors. But are you aware that there are also Purple, Brown, Yellow, Red, and Green Screen of Deaths indicating that a program or your system may throw up? Up until now, there is no clear explanation as to why these stop errors keep popping up since there are several factors involving these matters. However, it is also a common knowledge that the malfunctioning of hardware drivers or drivers that are from third parties triggers this unwanted change.

Thus, causing frequent crashes and of course, the brown screen of death.

  1. Yellow Screen of Death

This screen of death error affects the way your browsers function especially Mozilla Firefox. The Yellow Screen of Death accompanies its appearance with a weird buzzing sound in the background when the XML parser refuses to process an XML document which causes a parsing error and the weird buzzing sound. To remedy this, you’ll have to manually reboot your PC.

  1. Red Screen of Death

Like the other screen of deaths, the Red Screen of Death or RSOD, can sometimes find its way into your screen. When that happens, your computer stops accepting any commands from your keyboard or mouse. The main reasons for the occurrence of RSOD are related to issues with graphics driver and the corresponding applications installing wrong files. Programs experiences conflicts when a computer is booting which results to the Red Screen of Death.

  1. Green Screen of Death

This color coding is intended to replace the archaic Blue Screen of Death for all Windows Insiders that are testing the upcoming Windows 10 test builds. The goal of this color swap was to make it easier for Microsoft support staff to differentiate each stop errors in test builds and those in production.
