What is RSA2048Pro ransomware? And how does it execute its attack?
RSA2048Pro ransomware is a new crypto-malware discovered by the MalwareHunterTeam. This new ransomware threat is created using C#. It uses the RSA 2048 encryption algorithm for encrypting files. At the moment, this unique cyber threat does not seem to belong to any ransomware group and is still under development. The programming language used by crooks to develop this threat which is C# is the same programming language used by other ransomware threats like Hidden Tear, Magic, Samsam ransomware and so on.

RSA2048Pro ransomware appends the .aes extension on each one of the targeted files, rendering them useless and inaccessible to victims. Once it finishes encrypting files, it will drop its ransom note on each one of the folders containing encrypted files. The ransom note is contained in a text file which states:
“Hello. There are vulnerabilities detected on your server. All your files are encrypted. For information on decoding, please write to the e-mail [email protected]”

How does RSA2048Pro ransomware spread its malicious file(s)?

Step 11: Delete the registry keys and sub-keys created by RSA2048Pro ransomware.
Step12. Close the Registry Editor and empty the Recycle Bin.
Try to recover your encrypted files using the Shadow Volume copies
Restoring your encrypted files using Windows’ Previous Versions feature will only be effective if RSA2048Pro ransomware hasn’t deleted the shadow copies of your files. But still, this is one of the best and free methods there is, so it’s definitely worth a shot.
