Steam is the world’s most popular PC gaming platform. Every year, around December 21st and June 21st, Steam launches two massive sales.
Well, it looks like a lot of gamers got new gaming PCs for Christmas because Steam has been buzzing in recent days. The platform has consistently reached close to a record number of users. Today, Steam finally broke its record when it hit a record 7.6 million simultaneous users.
On December 29, Steam reached a peak of 7,679,286 users logged in at once. The previous record was set over Thanksgiving weekend, when Steam recorded a high of 6 million users.
Since reaching that mark on December 29, Steam has reached over 7 million users several times, which tells us two things:
-People love logging on for the Steam winter sale
-PC Gaming is alive and well
