te fall isn’t a fun time. The air gets colder and the days get shorter and you’re still a long ways away from Christmas.
That’s why I’m disappointed that one of late fall’s biggest video game releases may not be a late fall release after all.
That’s right: Grand Theft Auto 5, which was slated to be re-released on PC, Xbox One, and Playstation 4, may be delayed until 2015.
Rockstar’s lack of promotional material raises questions
This rumored delay comes from the fact that Rockstar has not released any promotional material for the game thus far.
Although Rockstar has announced that GTA V was arriving in Q3 or Q4 of 2014, it hasn’t announced anything beyond that.
Only one GTA V trailer for next-gen consoles has been released so far. While that trailer left fans very excited, we haven’t seen anything since.
If GTA was being released within the next 3 months, then many would expect Rockstar to be building up hype for the release right now.
Rockstar, however, has been mysteriously quiet.
All of this has led some to say that GTA 5 has been delayed until early 2015.
Nevertheless, gamers remain optimistic. In a poll, gamers who believed GTA V was releasing this year outnumbered their opposition by a 2:1 margin.
Gamers remain optimistic, but Rockstar remains quiet. Unless Rockstar announces a specific release date within the next few weeks, many are preparing for an early 2015 release.
