2015 is still a few months away. But we just realized something crazy: some of the best games announced over the past few months all have 2015 release dates.
In fact, it’s looking like 2015 could be the perfect storm of gaming. Some are calling it the greatest year in gaming history.
Although it’s too early to give 2015 that prestigious label, we can certainly say that there are going to be some amazing PC games and console games available next year.
It will be the year you upgrade your video card and the year you finally buy an Xbox One or PS4. Here are just a few of the reasons why 2015 could be a landmark year for the gaming industry:
-The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (February 24, 2015)
-Rise of the Tomb Raider (Holiday 2015)
-The Order: 1886 (February 20, 2015)
-Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege (2015)
-Dead Island 2 (2015)
-Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (2015)
-Halo 5: Guardians (2015)
-Batman: Arkham Knight (2015)
-Mortal Kombat X (2015)
-Zelda Wii U (2015)
-Star Wars Battlefront (2015)
-Crackdown (2015)
-Possible release of Fallout 4 or, dare we say, The Elder Scrolls 6 (2015-2016)
Along with all the titles listed above, we can also expect to see a new Battlefield game and a new Call of Duty game (possibly). Based on the titles announced so far, I don’t think it will be the greatest year in PC gaming – but it will certainly be close.
Meanwhile, games like Far Cry 4 and next-gen GTA V are being released in November 2014, which should give us plenty of ways to kill time until early 2015.
What do you think? Greatest year ever for gaming? Or just one of many great years that we’ve had recently?
