It didn’t take long for Microsoft to put together its first large Windows 10 update. Today, Microsoft announced that a large Windows 10 update would be arriving to devices sometime this November.
That update will arrive separately form the Redstone updates coming in 2016. Those updates are expected to be even larger than the November update.

November Update Dubbed “Threshold 2”

The November update for Windows 10 is called Threshold 2. We don’t know anything about the Threshold 2 release date.
However, rumors from one Windows site, WinBeta.org, claims that the update is coming early in November – on November 2.

New Update Will Be Cumulative

The new update is cumulative, which means you can download and install it even if you haven’t already downloaded any Windows 10 updates to-date.
When the update arrives in your Settings app, it will be called Windows 10 November 2015. The build number will reportedly be 1511 (year/month).

New Update Features

Some of the new features expected to be included in the update are:
-New Messaging app
-Improvements to Cortana
-Windows 10 Mobile integration
-The ability to activate Windows 10 using Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 product keys
Edge browser extensions, however, aren’t coming until 2016. So if you’ve been avoiding Edge because it’s too barebones, then you’re going to have to wait a little longer.
