Information about TelevisionAce Toolbar infection

TelevisionAce Toolbar is another browser add-ons that is also classified as a potentially unwanted program or simply PUP. If you find it installed in your computer but have no memory of ever allowing it to do so, then it could have been added to freeware that you probably installed, and you just didn’t notice. You could have also chosen to install it yourself right straight from the official website but the former installation method is a bit more likely.

Though it’s not a malicious computer infection, but we  definitely do not recommend keeping it in your system. It will make modifications to your browser, set its promoted site as your default homepage and new tabs as well. It could then try to redirect you to other unknown sites using the search engine. Though this hijacker might not necessarily do this, some are able to mislead the users to dangerous  and malicious sites where malware could be waiting. In the end, it is up to you if you get rid of the  TelevisionAce Toolbar, but we highly recommend you do.

Should you remove the TelevisionAce Toolbar?

What id does when this extension installs is it will immediately  alter your browser’s settings. There will be a different page that will load instead of the one that usually opens when you launch your browser. The modifications carried out to your browser will be irreversible unless you first eliminate the TelevisionAce Toolbar. The extension itself  primarily targets the TV watchers as it provides shortcuts to streaming services and it  is attachable to most commonly used browsers such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox but is not provided in any of their official stores. The websites does not look malicious even, and it’s not actually, but you should look into its Privacy Policy before you decide to use it. And the search engine may be inserting advertisement content as well among the legitimate results so be very careful not to click on them. They will lead to unrelated or even unreliable  and infectious sites. Some could even lead you to a serious malware infection that definitely harm your computer. You should consider  removing the TelevisionAce Toolbar.
If you can’t recall even installing the PUP yourself, it could have been added to freeware as an additional offer and you just didn’t notice it. A lot of unwanted programs do this  trick because users still carelessly install programs  most of the time. When you are installing something into your system, you need to  select the Advanced or Custom settings because only there you will be able see if anything has been added, and if there has, you can deselect it. Make sure you uncheck every single offer that appears there  that you don’t actually need or familiar with because any extension that uses such a sneaky method to install does not belong on your computer. Whichever way you installed it, we highly recommend you completely eliminate the   TelevisionAce Toolbar.
