The all carry similar purpose and ways, like offering a variety of ‘useful features’, applications such as MediaPlayAir, unTabs, WebDiscover, and many others, attempt to trick users into believing that they are legitimate and useful. The truth is, these apps offer different features, however they  have identical behavior. The only purpose of all adware is to generate revenue for the developers, more profits, whilst regular users receive no value. PUPs merely cause unwanted redirects, deliver intrusive ads, and continually gather various user-system information for the benefits of the developers and potentially, cybercriminals.

How did adware gets onto my computer?

Developers execute and proliferate adware by creating and  employing a deceptive marketing method called “bundling”. Many users install PUPs inadvertently, without their consent and knowledge. “Bundling” is stealth installation of third party applications with mostly free software which undoubtedly convey users to click on it and drive traffic into the host sites. Usually, the developers hide bundled apps within the “Custom” or “Advanced” settings.
