Solution 1 – Try turning on the Battery Saver Mode

  • Click on the “Battery Usage by app” option in the battery settings. This will open a new window displaying all the apps as well as their battery percentage consumption.

powercfg/energy

  • Next, you have to generate a complete battery health report. Just type in the following command and tap Enter to do so:

powercfg/batteryreport

Note: You can also run another command to determine the devices that are set so that you can wake your computer and turn them off. Just type in this command: powercfg –devicequery wake_armed
Solution 5 – Try running the Power Troubleshooter
Running the Power Troubleshooter can help you fix the battery drain issues. This troubleshooter will also check for and automatically detect and fix the Power issues.
Solution 6 – Use the Customized Power Plans to extend Battery life
Utilizing the power plans can help you conserve energy while you maximize the performance of your system. Power plans allows you to prioritize between performance and battery life as it lets you customize the battery usage by planning and adjusting the screen brightness whether your system is in sleep mode or charging mode or when it is plugged in. You can adjust the settings of brightness, display and sleep when the system is plugged in or when it is on battery. Aside from that, you can also change the advanced power settings or restore it to its default settings. Use the steps below as a reference in using power plans.

  • Go to the Control Panel.
  • Click on the Power options.
  • Then select the option “Create a Power plan”. This will allow you to create a power plan of your own based on your needs.

Solution 7 – Try updating your device drivers
There are times when outdated drivers consume a lot of battery power that eventually leads to battery drain issues. That’s why it is important to update your device drivers so you can extend the life of your battery. To do so, follow these steps:

  • Tap the Win + R keys to open Run dialog box and then type in msc and tap Enter or click OK to open the Device Manager.
  • Expand the section for the outdated device drivers.
  • And then select the outdated driver(s) and right click on it/them.
  • From the drop-down menu, select the Update Driver option and follow the on-screen instructions to install the latest version of the driver.

  • Restart your PC after the installation.

Perform a full system scan using PC Cleaner Pro. To do so, follow the instructions below.

  1. Turn on your computer. If it’s already on, you have to reboot
  2. After that, the BIOS screen will be displayed, but if Windows pops up instead, reboot your computer and try again. Once you’re on the BIOS screen, repeat pressing F8, by doing so the Advanced Option shows up.

  1. To navigate the Advanced Option use the arrow keys and select Safe Mode with Networking then hit
  2. Windows will now load the Safe Mode with Networking.
  3. Press and hold both R key and Windows key.

  1. If done correctly, the Windows Run Box will show up.
  2. Type in explorer http://www.fixmypcfree.com/install/pccleanerpro

A single space must be in between explorer and http. Click OK.

  1. A dialog box will be displayed by Internet Explorer. Click Run to begin downloading PC Cleaner Pro. Installation will start automatically once download is done.

  1. Click OK to launch PC Cleaner Pro.
  2. Run the program and click the Click to Start Scan button to perform a full system scan.

  1. After all the infections are identified, click the FIX ALL
