E3 is the biggest annual gaming expo in the United States. But it’s always been a rose with thorns for PC gamers: there have been dedicated events for Xbox, Playstation, and other console users. But there’s never been a dedicated PC gaming event.
In 2015, that will change. PC Gamer (yes, the magazine) teamed up with AMD to create the PC Gaming Show.
That PC Gaming Show is exclusively focused on the latest and greatest upcoming PC games. It will take place at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles on Tuesday, June 16 and will be live-streamed on Twitch. Yes, it will be just like a real console announcement show – and that’s exactly what the PC gaming industry needs.
A number of PC-focused gaming developers have already signed up for the show, including:
-Paradox
-Cloud Imperium
-Tripwire
-Devolver
-Blizzard
-Bohemia Interactive
Key presenters will include Dean Hall (the guy who created DayZ) and Cliff Bleszinski (the guy who created Unreal Tournament and Gears of War).
In an announcement, PC Gamer’s global editor in chief Tim Clark said the following:
“We think a show like this, which brings together people from every corner of PC gaming to celebrate the exciting things happening, is long overdue,”
At FixMyPCFree.com, we couldn’t agree more.
Oh, and did we mention that Bethesda is announcing a mysterious RPG at E3 this year? Yes, it could be an amazing year for PC gaming.
As the official PC Gaming Show website calls it, “PC gaming is in a golden age, with more powerful and affordable hardware than ever before.”
