Grand Theft Auto V for PC has been all-but-confirmed. It’s likely arriving between March and April of 2014 and will feature customizable graphics and, more importantly, mods.
PC gamers are excited. But early adopters of next-gen consoles like the Xbox One and Playstation 4 are wondering why they’ve been left out in the cold. In September of 2013, Rockstar said they would not be making versions of GTA V for next-gen consoles, but new information has come to light that might change that.
Rockstar recently gave next-gen gamers a small bit of hope. And by Rockstar, I mean a random Czech retail website. SuperGamer.cz recently listed GTA V as available to order for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
SuperGamer.cz isn’t the first website to make this mistake (mistake?). Other websites, including Amazon Germany and Amazon France have both listed PC copies for sale, while Scandinavian retail stores are reportedly already accepting pre-orders for the PC version.
However, this is the first time a retail outlet has listed PS4 and Xbox One versions of Grand Theft Auto V for sale.
In all likelihood, this error comes from a typo by some Czech individual editing the website. However, hardcore gamers have taken it to assume that the next-gen console version of Grand Theft Auto V – just like Half Life 3 – has been confirmed.
